Key Point
Crimes that involve physical violence are a subject of great concern to the community and the criminal justice system, and yet are the subject of very little research. Predicting violent incidents, managing violent offenders, and building violence-reducing rehabilitation programs are important avenues of research in correctional psychology.
Ongoing Projects
Utilizing dynamic risk assessment information collected with violent offenders, PhD student Ariel Stone is currently examining whether violent offending outcomes can be predicted with information rated by supervision officers.
